Direct vs. Indirect Billing
We bill clients using either direct or indirect billing methods depending on their type of coverage.
For direct billing, we bill your insurance provider ourselves. We provide this service to clients insured under the IFHP program and automobile insurance providers for MVA psychological assessments.
For indirect billing, you pay for our services, and you submit a claim to your insurance provider to receive reimbursement for the services you paid for. This type of billing applies to clients covered under Extended Health Insurance Plans.
The following steps provide a breakdown of the process of accessing psychotherapy services.
Step 1: Get a referral
If you’re experiencing mental health issues, visit your family doctor or a walk-in clinic to get a referral for psychotherapy treatment at our clinic.
Step 2: حجز موعد للتقييم
Once referred to our clinic, one of our specialists will schedule a psychotherapy assessment with you to determine your mental health status and to develop a treatment plan.
Step 3: Get treatment approval
Once our specialists meet with you, they will submit a psychological assessment report and a treatment plan to your insurance provider for approval.
Step 4: Start treatment plan
Once your insurance provider approves the treatment plan, you can start your treatment sessions with a specialist. If you have an IFHP or MVA insurance, we will directly bill your insurance provider, and there is nothing else you need to do. If you have an Extended Health Care Plan, see the next step.
Step 5: Submit insurance claim
For indirect billing, you pay for your psychotherapy treatment, and then seek reimbursement from your insurance provider by submitting a claim form. You simply fill out the form, mail it to your insurance provider, and receive reimbursement. Make sure you know how much you can claim based on your insurance.
